Two months ago, I submitted an abstract to the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) 2025 Northeast Section Conference—part of the largest engineering education community in North America. In it, I shared the story of how I founded and grew my Computer Programming and AI Club at my high school, from just a few curious students to a thriving group with dozens of members.
Today, I got the news: my abstract was accepted! 🎉 Along with the acceptance, I received thoughtful comments from two reviewers that will help me improve my full paper. The next step is to write and submit the complete manuscript and go through the peer review process.
I’m honestly over the moon. This is the first academic paper I’ve ever written, and seeing it accepted feels like such a milestone. What started as a small passion project in 9th grade has grown into something meaningful enough to share on a professional stage.
I can’t wait to dive into the next stage of writing—and to see where this journey takes me!
